Last week I took a trip to Nashville with the love of my life to pursue his dreams. Over the last year or so he has been eagerly working on his first EP with friend/producer, Andy Cherry. After a successful Kickstarter, my husband, Chris, was able to start getting everything together. This past year has seemed like such a blur. During that time we were engaged, married, and off to Nashville to put the finishing touches on his album.
Andy and his wife, Michelle, met us there and showed us the ropes. It was a very quick trip but when we weren't in the studio, we were able to enjoy delicious coffee, food, and drinks.
While in the studio, it was time to work. Chris sat near as they exhausted every little thing making sure it was perfect. We also met the cutest dog you've ever seen named Therman. All I wanted to do was squeeze him the entire time I was there. It was a great experience meeting all the talented people while we were there.
At least two people from our group were at this coffee shop everyday, sometimes twice, getting a refreshing cold brew or a steamy cortado at Barista Parlor. If you are ever in Nashville this place is a must. They had the best decor and specialty chocolates. What else do you need?
In search of some awesome cocktails we picked the best spot. Pinewood Social served up the best speciality cocktails including my favorite, a gin gimlet, that was shook up just right. This place did not disappoint on any level, the best atmosphere, great drinks, tasty food, complete with a retro bowling alley in the back. We came here for breakfast and lunch. There was no stopping us with this place.
Lastly, we couldn't leave without looking at some one of a kind clothing spots. We came across Imogene + Willie , which specializes in making custom jeans. We didn't have enough time to get fitted and order a pair for my husband but Im sure he secretly would've bought a later plane ticket to do just that.
